In order to rid yourself of the extra body fat around your midsection, you need to incorporate effective cardio sessions into your fitness plan. You cannot spot-reduce the midsection by doing extra ab exercises like crunches or sit-ups. You first must burn off the body fat through proper cardio to properly define the area. Abdominal training by itself will not do much. Cardio needs to be intense enough to do the trick. Three to four sessions a week of intense jogging, running, the Stairmaster, the elliptical, jumping rope, or biking should be enough to get the process in gear. Swimming, hiking, and taking aerobics classes are beneficial as well. Nothing beats jogging or running. It is the most intense, efficient, and effective method of burning calories. If running outside hurts your joints, try running inside on a treadmill or outside on a dirt path. It definitely is easier on the body. Again, you NEED three to four intense cardio sessions a week to help create a calorie deficit and help rid the body of the fat that covers your abs. Just a little side note if you want your abs to show make sure you eat right, exercise on a regular basis, and stay as active as you can throughout the day.     @zareknez1988 to get abs like his its more about eating then supplements … most people that look like him use protein and sometimes creatine.     @salamanca00 yep these ab exercises are really gonna get your abs burning. Just a little side note if you want to get your abs to show you are going to need to bring your bodyfat down to about 8% and you do that by eating right exercising staying active.     @CarlosStephenPR i agree this routine is great for strengthening your abs. It’s also a good idea to exercise on a regular basis so you can get your body fat down to about 8% so you can show off your newly strengthened abs :).     @Soalreaper44 yeah this is perfect to do 3 times a week, but i would say you should kick it up to 4 to 5 times a week only if your abs are strong enough to handle that tho.
